Better Change to hold EAG Seminar dedicated to positive play
Set against the backdrop of the Autumn Budget and announcements regarding the introduction of the statutory levy the seminar which is entitled ‘Positive Play….. Safer gambling for people who enjoy gambling’ will be moderated by Better Change Engagement Director Rob Mabbett and will take place at 11am on Wednesday 15th January, the middle day of EAG.
Rob Mabbett believes that with the overwhelming majority of customers enjoying gambling products without issue, the challenge for the industry is to establish how it can continue to meet players’ needs in a post-levy world in which the focus remains on the very small minority who do experience harm.
He stated: “The Better Change EAG seminar will equip land-based gambling industry leaders with the insights and strategies needed in what is a challenging market.
“It will focus on how the prioritisation of customer well-being can drive loyalty, enhance brand reputation, and in the process create sustainable growth and contribute to long-term revenue stability.
“The seminar will highlight the actionable strategies and the tool kit that’s available to operators to advocate for positive play, fostering a culture of care and accountability across an organisation.”
Expanding on the values which drive Better Change he noted: “Our philosophy is that preventing gambling harm should not mean preventing gambling when the majority of gamblers play safely.
“We subscribe to the power of partnerships which means working together to engage, educate and empower colleagues and customers, enabling informed decision making that supports future sustainability.
“As one of the few consultancies in the sector with industry experience from the board room to the front line we understand the practical issues it faces. Our focus is Positive Play not Restrictive Play.”
