EAG 2025 reverts to 10am opening with exhibitors adding to event’s night-time profile

EAG 2025 reverts to 10am opening with exhibitors adding to event’s night-time profile

The organising team responsible for EAG Expo (14th – 16th January, ExCeL London) has confirmed that the show will be returning to its original opening times of 10am – 6pm (Tuesday and Wednesday) and 10am – 4pm (Thursday). The decision reverses the trial of opening an hour earlier which was introduced following last year’s exhibitor meeting.

Announcing the decision EAG Exhibition Director Nicola Lazenby said: “EAG is a Bacta owned event which is literally run for the industry and by the industry.

“We agreed to experiment with an earlier opening and whilst understanding the rationale of adding three hours to the EAG experience, in practical terms it didn’t work for the vast majority of our exhibitors who were pleased to return to the original and long-standing arrangement which has served the EAG community well.”

She added: “Events such as EAG which are central to the industry’s they serve are more than simply a day-time experience. Increasingly exhibitors are using EAG to host their customers making best use of London’s hospitality options which have been made even more accessible by the Elizabeth Line which connects central London to Custom House at ExCeL London in a comfortable 20-minute train journey.

“Frequently, the discussions which may have started on a stand at EAG finish in a business deal being struck later that evening at a hospitality event or venue in town. We need to accommodate and facilitate the opportunity to conduct business as a result of participating at EAG and opening the show at 10am is part of that accommodation.”

With EAG 2025 confirmed as having the biggest footprint since it launched at ExCeL London in 2010 the show is also on course to set new attendance records courtesy of two new sections comprising The Social Immersive Entertainment Expo which will focus on the trends that are driving the future of out of home entertainment and the London Casino and Gaming Show.

EAG delegates will have access to the very latest product launches and innovations in out of home entertainment, be able to share insights and experiences with industry colleagues, keep abreast of regulatory changes, update on the latest developments impacting the high street and the pub sector courtesy of the Bacta Seminars and learn more about the latest developments in social responsibility and safer gambling on the Bacta Safer Gambling Hub.
